Well tom has been busy tweaking things on his car in preparation for the next round of british drift championship. Some of the body work has been repainted to match the other 2 Team Dorihero cars. Tom is also off to Santa pod on saturday for some seat time.

Matt had is car realigned this week as he felt something wasnt right. it turned out he had to much tow in on the rear so he seems alot happier now so next practice we will see.

this friday sees Matt trying for a JDM Allstars licence which means he could drift in that series all over the world . but with a back up as ever if he doesnt get it he’s also off to Santa pod on saturday .

Round 1 Summary From Tom Bilverstone

Well, my first competetive drift event has been and gone, it was an experience……….

Thursday saw me work a full day then fit a waterpump after my (nearly new) pump died convieniently 2 days before, then followed a 270 mile drive finished of with a chat to the boys in blue! Why? Because i was towing a drift car in a built up area late at nite!!!!!!!

Friday saw me heading away from Teeside to a rolling road after fitting the pump fitting showed up some problems, 3 popped hoses (hadnt fitted the Artel ones at this point) caused by 25psi of boost!!!! An hour later i was at the track finally with a much happier car, Only to find my clutch hydraulics were packing up! Car checked by chunk and under i went to get a clutch pedal, thats when the heavens opened and progress slowed. Lee@GTR garage answered a facebook appeal and I collected a new cylinder. I managed 4 practice runs in the morning, not enough to learn the track, adjust tyre pressures or add 30mph to my normal entry speeds so i had a nervous lunch full of doubt, id spun on every run. Queing for qualifying didnt help……..

Watching the others, lock, smoke, angle, power working for them. Then my turn, my moto x past came flooding back as Malx set me off on run 1, I chilled out, focused and enjoyed the whole run meaning I kept it on the black stuff, suprised wasnt the word for it, each run got better as I wrung more and more from my CA18 engine in the wet conditions.

I parked up to watch the other Team DoriHero drivers runs, relieved my fate was set just the agonising delay for the answer. Results were called in the rain and it wasnt my day, 26th was all i managed. Concidering ive only drifted a manual car a few times I was consoled by my performance and how much Id learnt in only 7 laps.

Sunday saw me back on track, clutch wasnt right despite more soggy overnite fiddling, but it didnt slip so off i went to learn some more. Pulling off entries I was sure would see me in the gravel filled me with confidence, only for my stage 1 CA power to hold me back as I couldnt pull 3rd gear at all. The 2 practice sessions saw me running with lock, angle and smoke so major leaps forward in confidence and skill. Apparently I almost smiled at this point? I say it was trapped wind though. Lol.

Sun afternoon saw me back in my comfort zone, pit man, for Christian this time. With his own crew and execllent machine prep combined with his skill at NOT crashing the battles passed enjoyably by, excitement growing each round til the (first of many this year????) battles with Hux going OMT for the final lead the Team to the rewarding presentation at the end as the light faded and smoke cleard over the end of rd1.

Car and kit all loaded saw a pleasently boring trundle home on the monday, no interuptions giving me time to reflect and get excited about Norfolk Arena for rd2. This being my “home track” (200 miles from home though!!!!!!) Im excited already, adding in abit more power and abit more lock will allow me to show what i can do in the unforgiving arena, the whole crowd can see my every move, my entries, lines, corrections and my clipping points so Im looking to friends, fellow norfolk drivers, indeed anyone who likes what im doing to shout, scream and cheer, raising the already electric atmosphere to a new high as Rd2 smokes into the June darkness. Busy HQ

Well now the dust has started to settle after Round 1 at Teesside we are now getting organised ready for Round 2. Been busy trying to get the boys some sponsorship as you can imagine drifting isnt cheap.

Tom has applied his new stickers to his shiny blue S13 whilst matt has some tweaking to do . Christian i think is just polishing his trophy.

We saw a teaser for the BDC program due to be aired on channel 5 and it looks epic so everyone keep your eyes peeled for that.

That has been some amazing pics appearing of all 3 Dorihero drivers which we are really happy with.
